Buckden Pike Fell Race
POSTED BY DARREN HORNER ON 19 JUNE 2012

A classic fell race and a proper tough climb followed by a super fast descent!
Clag, wind and a little rain what more could you want for an early saturday afternoon race.

Chris Crabtree, Molly, Dean and Darren all lined up for the start, Chris was looking good in all new nice clean fell shoes and Trawden Vest, not a speck of dust to be seen, that was soon to change!

The little beck that you cross before climbing the nice hill, was in flood and the course was a little wet underfoot.

Dean ran off the start line like a raging bull, we all opted for a more casual start, knowing full well the task ahead!

This was one of the hardest fell races with the conditions that I have done in a while.

All four returned safe and sound, Dean being the gentlman that he is let Molly glide past on the final descent, well ok Molly beat him again. Chris had a good run, nice to meet him at last!
