Happy Birthday John!

Happy birthday to Wallace a.k.a. John "Mighty" McDonald! Yet another milestone reached for Wallace and he has now moved up a vet category...but which one?

Now I know you are all thinking it's Wallace's 40th as he continues to defy both the ageing process and logic with his (at least) three races a weekend routine!

This has been helped of late by using a secret medical compound otherwise know as WD40. Yes the secret is out now, part of the pre-race warm includes spraying Wallace's legs with lashings of WD40! Then he's onto the start line bright-eyed, bushy-tailed and raring to go.

But today, 3rd of June, Wallace turns 50! On behalf of all at TAC I'd like to say "Happy Birthday John!" and just keep on running!

On a personnel note I would like to thank John for encouraging me to get into running and also to join Trawden AC. I wouldn't have reached my personnal milestones without his help and advice over the last few years.

We both continue to enjoy our Sunday trips out on the racing circuit, always having a laugh and chat on the way there and back.

Hopefully come this October both Wallace and Gromit are hoping to make the trip over to the Emerald Isle and compete in the Dublin marathon. Can't think of a better way to celebrate Wallace's 50th.
