Red Rose XC League - Race 2 - Hyndburn

Race 2 of the Red Rose XC took place closer to home at Wilsons Playing Fields at Hyndburn on a lovely October afternoon. It was slightly different type of course from the first race in that there were some ups and downs as opposed to the flat course at Leigh.

Two Trawden ladies ran alongside 113 others and Fiona Hall came home in 22.15 (21st) in what was just short of a 5k course. Jenny Garside, followed in 24.28 (52nd) before making a quick exit to her daughters birthday party.

The Trawden men had an increased number of runners, up from 3 to 5. First home was Jim Garside in 40.24 (78th) then Dave Croll 40.36 (82), Simon Kelly 43.07 (114), Scott Grant 43.20 (117) and congratulations to our newest member Martin Stoney who finished in 47.21 (168).

A total of 221 male runners so well done to all on some respectable performances.
