Barley Cabin
Using another new route this year, the Barley Cabin race is still a 4 mile'ish race (nearer to 4.5 I think) with about 1100ft of climbing. Starting at 7pm, the race climbs across the fields above Ogden resevoir to the farm just before Buttocks 4 way gate. It then turns right & follows the path along the bottom of Pendle, which is quite narrow, to Pendle House farm. Through the kissing gate & climb the left miners path to the top before turning right & running to the trig point. Rounding the trig, it retraces the same line to top of the miners path & then continues beyond, down the spine & back to the Buttocks gate (how many times can I mention Buttocks!), turning left through the gate. After only about 20metres, it turns right & drops back to the farmhouse. It then follows the outward route, back to the finish......................I Think!!
