Tour of Pendle (Shortened)
This is a category ” A-long “ race in winter, it is NOT suitable for NOVICES. There will be a cut-off time at check point 4, anyone not arriving by 12:30pm will be retired and directed back to Barley Village Hall.
Runners most only enter this race if they have substantial experience of similar terrain, distance, conditions and of navigating across mountain terrain in poor conditions.
Kit carried must comply with current FRA rules of competition and safety requirements. If you are not certain of them, please download from here. You should carry at least – waterproof full body cover with taped seams including attached hood. Whistle. Hat. Gloves. Emergency Food. Compass. Map. A GPS is not sufficient. Kit checks will be undertaken and anyone found without the kit at any stage of the race will be disqualified. This kit may not be enough. Runners must determine what additional kit is needed for safety in the conditions.
