General Run (Laneshawbridge)
Meet from 6pm to start training 6.15pm.
BE SEEN & BE SAFE: Please wear high visibility clothing and bring a head torch or other illumination if you have it.
This is a very accessible and adaptable weekly training run that is open to senior runners of all abilities. Although everyone will follow the same general route outlined below, people may be split into two or three groups on the night - each with a qualified run leader - to run between five and eight miles.
STANDARD ROUTE • 6.2 miles • View on Mapometer
All the way down Harrison Drive, past North Valley roundabout and up Spring Lane. Left at the top up the main road through Colne centre, continuing straight on along Keighley Road past Heifer Lane and out towards Laneshawbridge. Turn around at the Emmott Arms and head back towards Colne. Keep right at the roundabout past the Morris Dancers and turn right up Venables Avenue. Left at the top along Castle Road crossing Skipton Road and past the roundabout onto Red Lane. Turn left at the mini roundabout and go all the way along Birtwistle Avenue. Turn right at the next mini roundabout back up to Holt House.

Follow the first and last two miles of the Standard Route with an anti-clockwise loop around the Standroyd estate in the middle.
Faster Runners
May go down Exchange Street and up Colne Lane on the way out, hill reps on Carry Lane, loops of Standroyd Drive, or loops off Veneables Avenue.
Variations & Extensions
On the way back may go up Bent Lane and down Lidgett on the way back.
