The Lancashireman

A brand new 27 mile event (FRA category BL) covering the off-road moorland, towpaths, fields and hills along the Burnley Way, open to solo or paired runners.

Entry fee £22 per runner, T-shirt for finishers, a written course description, marked map and GPX file of the full route will be provided. The route partly follows the Burnley Way, which is signposted, but reccies are recommended.

The Lancashireman Off-Road Relays
A brand new 3-leg fell relay event following the same route as the marathon but for Teams of 3 (solo runners) or Teams of 6 (paired runners). Entry fee £12 per runner, per team. A written course description, marked map and GPX file of the full route will be provided.

Leg 1 — 8.1 miles, 1280ft (13.1 km, 390m, cat BM)
Leg 2 — 7.3 miles, 1378ft (11.8 km, 420m, cat BM)
Leg 3 — 10.7 miles, 1837ft (17.3 km, 560m, cat BM)

Kit requirements (per runner): FRA Mandatory Minimum Kit (fully waterproof top and bottom), hat, gloves, compass, whistle, a bit of emergency food and map (provided).

The route starts and finishes at Burnley Wharf and largley follows the Burnley Way, which is frequently signposted. We have provided GPX files, a full route description and map of the course below.
